11/7/24 The Website Launch...

Here it is guys welcome to the website. There's a couple awesome things on here like the "Projects" page where you can filter albums by these abstract tags. Pretty sweet. Also the Newsletter you can sign up for here is pretty cool to me, basically an email list but ts actually awesome instead of lame. Also check out the "About" page it's pretty legendary. There's still a lot of ideas I have for site too so even tho its live I'm still gonna be updating/tweaking and adding features and pages. My goal is that anyone who is interested in Turtle Rock has a place they can scratch the itch without having to go on social media, and eventually I can just pretty much get rid of Facebook and Instagram becuase those things are corrosive. Despite my best efforts, I definitely don't have a healthy relationship to social media and would like to eliminate it from my life but I sorta rely on it for music type stuff.

Anyway, I hope you think the site is awesome. It's defintely better suited for a dsesktop/laptop experience but I'll keep chipping away at the mobile thing, although I don't really want fools to be checking it out from the phones. Too much phone in this world. I think if you have to sit down at a computer, whatever your efforts are become more intentional even if you're just scrolling still, it's like a bigger production and thus a more meaningful endeavor. Maybe that's just not true. My idea for the mobile site is like, if you're already familiar with the site and you just wanted to quickly grab a link or something. Like an abridged version of the desktop site, not really its own whole experience.

In the future I want to add a little section for poetry too but I need to stew on it a little bit. See what the coolest way to present it would be. Eventually flesh out the video aspect too and host my own stuff but I wanted to complete a couple projects before worrying about that. The other goal I have is to make this more community oriented and less selfish type beat. It would be cool to have it where people can submit their projects or whatever and then the site would just be an awesome place for people to share their art but that would take a good deal of building some different infrastructure and stuff. Just some ideas idk what I will end up doing though.
